Preparing for Your Visit

Use this guide to make sure you have everything ready—forms, essentials, and travel details—before you arrive at Lennox & Addington County General Hospital (LACGH).

For Outpatient Appointments

  • Bring your Ontario Health Card (OHIP) and medication list

  • Plan arrival time

  • Review parking instructions. All parking is free on-site at LACGH

  • Use the check-in kiosk upon arrival. The kiosk stations are located in the main lobby entrance or the ER entrance. During regular business hours, a member of the Volunteer Services will be able to assist you. 

  • For instructions specific to your clinic or appointment type, please refer to the Programs and Services section

For Inpatient or Surgical Visits

If you are staying overnight or having surgery at LACGH, please review the information below to help you prepare for your visit.

Packing List

  • Slippers with non-slip soles
  • Night attire
  • Hairbrush or comb
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Other toiletries
  • Clothes for going home

Valuables Notice

Please leave valuables at home; LACGH cannot be responsible for loss or damage to personal items kept in your room. If you must bring valuables, you may request they be placed in the hospital safe (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.).

Complete Forms in Advance

If your clinic has provided pre-registration or consent forms, complete them before arrival.

A small bedside locker is provided; larger luggage can be labelled and stored by staff.
