Quality Improvement & Accountability

At Lennox & Addington County General Hospital (LACGH), we are dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care. Guided by the Excellent Care for All Act (ECFAA) and a strong commitment to accountability, we strive to improve patient satisfaction, enhance safety, and promote continuous improvement.

“Our patients’ voices guide our path to excellence.”

Excellent Care for All Act (ECFAA)

The Excellent Care for All Act (ECFAA) focuses on quality and continuous improvements, ensuring accountability by all staff, and improving overall patient satisfaction.

At LACGH, we are committed to the principles of the ECFAA through the following actions:
  • Establishing a Quality Committee of the Board of Directors to review what we do well and to develop plans for improvement.
  • Quality committee reporting on quality issues.
  • Preparing and making public an annual Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  • Linking executive compensation to QIP target achievements.
  • Conducting patient and care provider satisfaction surveys.
  • Conducting staff surveys.
  • Developing a declaration of values through public consultation.
  • Establishing a patient relations process.
  •

Supporting Ontario’s Healthcare Quality Goals

The ECFAA also aligns with Ontario’s broader healthcare quality goals, supporting a province-wide culture of safety and improvement.

Patient Declaration of Values

These values, developed through public consultation, guide every interaction at LACGH:
