Home Your Visit Patient Portal & Imaging
Starting in December, our teams will begin using a new Regional Health Information System—Lumeo—to improve how we deliver care. Once Lumeo is implemented, patient electronic medical records will flow seamlessly among six healthcare organizations — Brockville General Hospital, Kingston Health Sciences Centre, Lennox and Addington County General Hospital, Perth Smiths Falls District Hospital, Providence Care, and Quinte Health.
This new system helps doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff keep track of your care, share information quickly, and make sure you get the best, most up-to-date treatment.
You may notice appointments take a little longer in December as our teams get familiar with the new system. Please be patient as we learn. We will do our best to minimize disruptions and, as always, strive to provide the best care possible.
We encourage you to allow for possible delays when planning your visit and transportation. Our staff may also revisit questions you’ve answered previously, such as those about medications and your health history.
Thank you for your support and patience during this transition.
Your privacy and the security of your personal health information are our top priority. Both portals comply with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), ensuring your data is protected.
A Health Information System (HIS) is a single electronic health record system for your care in hospitals and other healthcare organizations across the region. It gives your healthcare teams across our region access to your medical history. Your healthcare providers will be able to use the system to easily add information about your appointments, your treatments and your test results. Our HIS is called Lumeo.
There will still be some paper, such as documents that come from outside the hospital. These documents will be scanned into the system to become part of your medical record.
The system is being built by Oracle Health, a company with significant experience building secure medical records systems. The Lumeo system will have strict adherence to privacy and security standards, along with 24 /7 monitoring and support.
Not at this time but they will receive your records from your Hospital visit as they have in the past.
In the future Lumeo will give you, and your caregiver if you wish, access to your medical record through our HealtheLife Portal!
You’ll be able to view your medical history, treatments, and appointments, and add important information such as new medications or allergies. We anticipate the HealtheLife Portal to be available for use near the end of 2025.
