The OT assesses each patient’s functional status and identifies goals that align with recovery and discharge readiness. Treatment plans may include exercises, task practice, equipment recommendations, and caregiver education. The goal is to help each patient achieve maximum independence and safety.

OT services are delivered as part of a multidisciplinary approach alongside nursing, physiotherapy, recreation therapy, and other disciplines involved in rehabilitation and patient care.
