Lennox & Addington County General Hospital is a fully accredited facility, offering surgical, medical, and Long-Term Care Convalescent Care inpatient services. Special services include a Level 2 Intensive Care Unit and two Palliative Care suites.

Inpatient / Medical, Convalescent, Surgical

Convalescent Care is a short-term program (maximum 90 days) designed to help individuals regain strength and conditioning. It is available to patients from across the South East LHIN through referral from Home and Community Care. A multidisciplinary team—consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, rehab assistants, and volunteers—works closely with patients to develop personalized goals and support recovery.

Our care team is committed to your health and recovery. During your stay, you’ll be supported by an interdisciplinary team that includes doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff.

Convalescent Care Details

This regional program is available for up to 90 days and is accessed through Home and Community Care. Individuals must be able to actively participate in therapy and programming. Referrals are coordinated in partnership with care providers across the South East LHIN.

– Acute and surgical admissions are arranged through internal medical referral or emergency care.
– Convalescent care referrals must be submitted through Home and Community Care (SELHIN).
