Volunteer Programs

Discover how our dedicated volunteers make a difference every day.

Introductory Overview

Most visitors to Lennox and Addington County General Hospital (LACGH) are familiar with the volunteers in red vests who greet them, help them find their way in the hospital, sell Quest tickets, and run the Coffee and Gift Shop. But unless you have been a patient, you may be unaware of the interaction between Volunteers and Patients.

As our hospital expands, so too does the demand for more volunteers, and since most of the people who have the time to volunteer are seniors, Volunteer Services is constantly in need of new faces in many departments.

Our new Long Term Care Unit, scheduled to open in the Fall of 2025, is seeking volunteers for recruitment. This will be a whole new experience for volunteers.

If you have a few hours a month to spare, please contact Susan Jack, Membership/Recruitment of Volunteer Services at 613-354-3301 ext. 297 or by email at susan.jack@lacgh.napanee.on.ca.
